Professional Quilter / Lover of all things fabric

As a child I always enjoyed crafts and my mum, a keen quilter herself, taught my sister and I to knit and sew and I went on to study needlework at school.  Despite wanting to study Textiles at college I fell into the world of Insurance after leaving school and it wasn’t until 2013 when an opportunity came my way and I took a leap of faith buying my machine and creating Lovingly Quilted.  As a quilter I don’t think you ever forget the first customer quilt that you load and quilt but right from the very start I have loved what I do and I have been fortunate to have not only met and worked with a wonderful community of quilters and customers, I have had my work acknowledged twice at the Festival of Quilts in the two person category.

I am fascinated by textiles, texture and form and I continue to invest in my own personal and professional development.  As a member of a worldwide IntelliQuilter Machine Quilting Academy I have great access to wonderfully talented artisans, tools and tutorials and I am currently studying with the City and Guilds on their Machine Embroidery course.

It is important to me that as a customer, you receive a personal service.  I am able to offer you advice on all aspects of quilting from patchwork, to the choice of wadding used and quilt patterns  and thread options available and I pride myself on sourcing the right product for you.

I have more recently been enjoying the freedom to explore a variety of different crafts and techniques and utilising my skills and experience in quilting I have begun taking commissions for keepsake memory items and I have expanded my services and offerings to include these.

I have combined these services under the sub-brand ‘Lovingly Crafted’

If you are looking for a unique / personalised gift lovingly crafted by me, please have a look at my recent commissions or the available items to purchase in my shop.

The Cabin

I initially established Lovingly Quilted from home but I quickly outgrew the limited space available to me and I was incredibly lucky to be offered the opportunity to run my business from a cabin in the back garden of my parents home in Chandlers Ford.  You will find me adjacent to the vegetable patch!

With the aid of my Nolting longarm machine and Intelliquilter I am able to offer both hand-guided and computer-guided machine quilting, and I have an extensive range of edge to edge, block, border and custom patterns.  With such a vast range of patterns available it can feel a little overwhelming so I love nothing more than researching pattern ideas, especially if you have a theme in mind, so that we find the right pattern for you.

I am delighted to be a Silver Dealer of Aurifil Threads and I currently stock a selection of Egyptian Cotton 50wt – Large Spools – for purchase.

Commissioned Crafts and Keepsakes

All items that I make are bespoke and from a selection of materials I have available.
